Termales del Bosque is a costarican family enterprise, dedicated to preserving and managing the forest under the concept of sustainable development. The life zones of the area include a tropical wet forest in transition to pre-montane wet forest, with an average rainfall of 4000 to 4500 millimeters per year and an average temperature of 24 C ( 78 F ) at an elevation of 600 meters (approx. 2000 ft ) above sea level. It is an intermediate zone between the lowland and mountain forest. Therefore, there is a remarkable variety of flora and fauna; like a rich variety of birds, insects, reptiles and some mammals. In order to enjoy the natural beauty, there are several trails leading through this ecologically protected reserve.

The property, as a protected ecological retreat of exceptional natural attractions, covers 140 hectares; 80 hectares of primary forest, 10 hectares of secondary forest and 50 hectares of grassland.é

We are located in Costa Rican northern zone, near the base of the Platanar Volcano and the Juan Castro Blanco National Park, where has splurged a fantasy landscape of forests, rivers, mineral hot springs, caverns, national parks and abundant wildlife. You can be a witness of the biggest variety of multicolor butterflies accompanied with beautiful species of birds that when they combine in one flight, it is a unforgettable experience.
